On Friday, February 29, in preparation for the fifth anniversary of the
invasion of Iraq, the artwork Unfinished
Portrait by Priti Cox will open at the former McCune Paper
Company building at 254 N. Santa Fe in Salina, Kansas.
A hybrid painting/installation more than two years in the making, Unfinished Portrait features
individual portraits of the first 3000 US troops who died in Iraq
following the March 20, 2003 invasion and commemorates the innumerable
residents of Iraq who have died.
